Environmental Technology: Alternative Energy Intermediate Certificate
Build foundational skills in construction methods, electrical systems, building safety, and alternative energy technologies. This certificate introduces concepts such as passive solar design, home building, community development, and sustainable construction practices.

Environmental Technology: Alternative Energy Advanced Certificate
Expand your knowledge of renewable energy technologies, construction economics, drafting, blueprint reading, and electrical systems while developing more advanced skills in solar and wind energy applications.

Environmental Technology: Alternative Energy Technician AAS
This workforce-focused degree prepares students for careers in alternative energy and sustainable construction through a combination of classroom learning, field workshops, and hands-on technical training alongside local contractors and industry professionals. Students may apply credit hours earned through the Construction Technology Certificate toward completion of this degree.

Stackable Credentials
Environmental Technology offers a flexible, stackable pathway. The Intermediate Certificate provides foundational skills and can be completed quickly, while the Advanced Certificate builds on those skills with more technical coursework. Both certificate pathways build toward the Environmental Technology: Alternative Energy Technician AAS degree, so your earlier coursework is never wasted. Certificate credits from the Construction Technology Certificate may also be applied toward the AAS degree.
You can enter the workforce after earning a certificate and return to continue your education when your goals or schedule allow.

Environmental Technology programs are primarily workforce-focused credentials designed to prepare students for employment. Transfer options may be limited depending on the program.
