Your employer, tribal nation, government agency, workforce program, or another approved organization may agree to pay some or all of your CCC costs.

If the organization will pay CCC directly, you and your sponsor must complete CCC’s Third Party Billing Authorization Form.

CCC must receive the completed form before the payment deadline for it to count as your payment arrangement. Any amount your sponsor does not cover is your responsibility.

The amount your sponsor pays depends on its rules. CCC’s Third Party Billing Authorization Form allows a sponsor to approve payment for:

• Tuition
• Differential tuition
• Textbooks
• A parking pass
• Other fees
• A set maximum amount

Ask your employer or sponsor what it will cover before you register for classes.

1. Ask Your Sponsor What It Will Cover

Contact your employer or sponsoring organization before the semester begins. Ask what costs it will pay, whether there is a maximum amount, and what you need to do to receive approval.

2. Register for Your Classes

Register for the classes you plan to take. The Third Party Billing Authorization Form asks for the course name and number for each class your sponsor agrees to cover.

3. Complete the Third Party Billing Authorization Form

You and your sponsor must complete and sign the form. Your sponsor must provide its contact information and show which costs it agrees to pay. You need a new form each semester that you use employer or third-party assistance.

4. Submit the Form Before the Payment Deadline

Send the completed form to Student Accounts through CCC’s Secure Upload system. CCC must receive your authorization by 5 p.m. on the payment deadline to prevent you from being dropped from unpaid classes.

5. Check Your Balance

After your authorization is processed, check your balance in myCCC. Your sponsor may cover only part of your bill. You are responsible for any amount that is not covered. Contact Student Accounts by calling (928) 226-4237 or emailing cashier@coconino.edu if your sponsor changes or cancels its payment.

Some employers pay students back after they complete a class instead of paying CCC directly.

If your employer will reimburse you, you still need to pay CCC or set up another approved payment arrangement by the payment deadline. Employer reimbursement that you receive later does not replace your payment responsibility to CCC.

Your student records are protected by the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).

By signing CCC’s Third Party Billing Authorization Form, you give CCC permission to share certain information with your sponsor. This may include information about your:

• Tuition and registration fees
• Financial aid
• Enrollment

This allows CCC to provide the information needed to process your sponsor’s payment.

Contact your sponsor and Student Accounts before changing your schedule. If you stop attending, do not complete a course, or your employment with the sponsor ends, you are not automatically released from what you owe CCC.

You are responsible for the charges that your sponsor does not pay.

Veterans, service members, and eligible family members may be able to use GI Bill® or other VA education benefits to help pay for college.

Veteran’s education benefits follow a different process than employer or third-party billing. Your classes must be certified through CCC’s Veterans Services process before the benefits can count as a payment arrangement.
