Small Business? Big Goals?

Whether you have a business idea you want to explore, a business you are ready to launch, or an existing operation you want to grow, the Coconino Small Business Development Center (SBDC) is here to help. Services are free, confidential, and available to anyone in Coconino County.

The Coconino SBDC is hosted by CCC and is part of the Arizona SBDC Network, a statewide system of centers supported by the U.S. Small Business Administration. The network has been serving Arizona small businesses since 1988.

No-Cost, Confidential business counseling

When you register as an SBDC client, you have unlimited access to one-on-one consulting sessions with experienced business advisors who have real-world small business experience. Sessions are confidential and there is no cost to you.

Consulting is available to anyone operating or planning to start a for-profit business in Coconino County, at any stage of business development.

The SBDC offers workshops and training events designed around the schedule of a working entrepreneur. Topics change regularly and cover practical business skills from legal considerations to financial management.

DreamBuilder

DreamBuilder is a multi-session business development program designed to help entrepreneurs build a business plan from the ground up. The program runs over several weeks and is facilitated by SBDC advisors.

Coconino County Building Businesses and Entrepreneurs

The SBDC partners with Coconino County to facilitate the Building Businesses and Entrepreneurs program, a nine-week virtual program that guides participants through the process of developing a business plan. Graduates of the BBE program can continue working with the SBDC for ongoing support after the program ends.

Is there a cost for SBDC services?
No. One-on-one consulting services are free to all registered clients. Some workshops and training programs may have a fee. Check individual event listings for details.
Do I have to be a CCC student to use the SBDC?
No. The SBDC serves anyone in Coconino County who operates or is planning to start a for-profit business, regardless of whether they are enrolled at CCC.
How do I get started?
Register online as an SBDC client and schedule your first appointment. You can register at any stage, whether you have an idea or an existing business.
Can I get help applying for a small business loan?
Yes. SBDC advisors can help you understand your financing options, prepare financial projections, and navigate the SBA loan process.
