Community Education

There is always something new to learn. CCC's Community Education program offers hands-on workshops, skill-building courses, and free public events for community members at every stage of life. No CCC application is required, so register for a class today!

What We offer

Art, Photography, and Creative Skills
Hands-on workshops in drawing, photography, stained glass, music, ceramics, and other creative disciplines. 
Nature, Outdoors, and Local History
Comet Walks, foraging workshops, and courses exploring the natural history, geology, and cultural heritage of Northern Arizona. 
Personal Development and Leadership
Courses in communication, leadership, team dynamics, financial planning, and individual growth. 
Humanities and Languages
Conversational language courses, along with humanities-focused workshops and lectures covering literature, history, and culture.
Health and Wellness
Fitness, yoga, nutrition, and wellness courses for community members at every stage of life.

What is Community Education?

Community Education courses are non-credit, lifelong learning opportunities open to everyone. Non-credit courses do not count toward a college degree or certificate. You do not need to be a CCC student to participate, and most courses do not require any prior experience or background. Offerings change each semester and include in-person workshops, online courses, and free public events.

Comet Talks & Walks

Comet Talks are free, public lectures open to everyone in the community. The topics range from local history and science to art, adventure, and current events, presented by CCC faculty, local experts, and visiting speakers.

Comet Walks are the outdoor companion to Comet Talks, offering guided explorations of the natural and cultural landscapes of Northern Arizona.

All Comet Talks and Walks are free and open to the public. Recordings of recent talks are available on the CCC YouTube channel.

Additional Online Offerings

CCC offers additonal courses through our online partner, Ed2Go. Courses cover a variety of topics and are self-paced.

Have an idea for a Community Education course or workshop? CCC welcomes course proposals from community members and instructors. Review the proposal guidelines and submit your idea for consideration.
