Many credits do transfer, but not all credits transfer the same way. Once you apply and submit your official transcripts, an advisor will review your previous coursework and help you understand what counts toward your CCC program and what courses you may still need. The sooner you get your transcripts in, the sooner you can build a plan.
Request official transcripts from every college or university you have previously attended and have them sent directly to CCC Admissions. Transcripts can typically be submitted electronically through your previous institution’s registrar or student portal. Your transcripts must be official, meaning they need to come directly from the institution, not from you. Yes. Your financial aid eligibility is determined each year and is specific to the school you are attending. All CCC students need a completed Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) on file to get financial aid. If you received financial aid at your previous institution in the same school year, you need to add CCC to your FAFSA. CCC also offers scholarships and the Comet Promise for eligible students, so do not assume you will not qualify before you apply.
Not necessarily. Your advisor will review your transcripts and help you figure out which classes, if any, transfer to CCC. In many cases, transfer students are able to pick up close to where they left off, sometimes with fewer requirements remaining than they expected. Come in with your official transcripts and your goals, and your advisor will help you map out the most efficient path forward.
