Food Access for all

The Comet Cupboard is here because taking care of each other is part of what it means to be a Comet. The Comet Cupboard is CCC's free, on-campus food pantry, open to all currently enrolled students, faculty, and staff. No application, no eligibility requirements, no questions asked.

How the Comet Cupboard Works

How It Works

  1. Submit a Food Pantry Request Form by Wednesday at 5:00 p.m.
  2. Pick up your order on Fridays between 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. at the Lone Tree Campus, Room 111.

Bring reusable bags if you have them. If you’re unable to pick up your order, simply submit a new request the following week.

Fresh Food Boxes

Fresh food boxes are available at no cost through a partnership with Flagstaff Family Food Center and do not require a request form or advance order. Simply show up at one of the distribution locations during pickup hours.

  • CCC Fourth Street Campus, 3000 N. Fourth Street, every Friday from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
  • Kinsey Elementary School, 1601 S. Lone Tree Road, every Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Support the Comet cupboard

  • The Comet Cupboard runs on the generosity of the CCC community. Donations of non-perishable food items help ensure that students have access to what they need throughout the semester.

Most needed non-perishable items include: 

  • Peanut butter
  • Canned proteins (tuna, chicken, beans)
  • Soups
  • Pasta and pasta sauce
  • Rice
  • Oatmeal
  • Cereal
  • Cooking oil
  • Canned fruits and vegetables
  • Instant meals
  • Snack bars
  • Juice boxes

Most needed personal hygiene items include: 

  • Shampoo
  • Conditioner
  • Body wash
  • Deodorant
  • Toothpaste and toothbrushes
  • Feminine hygiene products
  • Razors
  • Tissues
  • Diapers

Financial donations and grocery gift cards are also welcome.

 

Where to Drop Off

Donations can be dropped off at the Lone Tree Campus, Room 111, during regular campus hours. You can also support the Comet Cupboard with a financial contribution through the CCC Foundation.
