Commercial truck driving is one of the most direct paths to a stable, well-paying career available in Northern Arizona.
CCC has partnered with Phoenix Truck Driving School to offer Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) training in Flagstaff and Page, with a new cohort starting at least once a month. In as little as four weeks, you can be licensed and on your way to a career on the road.
CDL training combines classroom instruction with supervised, hands-on driving experience in a real semi-truck. You will prepare for the written Commercial Driver’s License exam, earn your commercial learner’s permit, and practice the driving and inspection skills needed for the CDL skills test.
Training also prepares you for endorsement exams, including hazardous materials, tanker, and doubles/triples.

A Class A CDL is one of the most portable and in-demand credentials in the workforce. Licensed commercial truck drivers are needed across almost every sector of the economy, and the shortage of qualified drivers has kept wages strong and job placement rates high.

You do not need to apply to CCC to enroll in CDL training. Contact the program directly to get started.
New classes begin at least once per month in Flagstaff. Page classes are also available. Contact the program for current scheduling in both locations.
CDL training is offered through CCC’s Workforce and Professional Development program. It does not carry academic credit and cannot be applied toward a CCC degree or certificate. If you are looking for for-credit programs that lead to a degree or certificate, visit the Degrees and Certificates page.
The training program takes approximately four weeks and 160 hours to complete. After completing training, you will take your CDL exam to receive your license.
A Class A Commercial Driver’s License authorizes you to operate the largest and heaviest commercial vehicles including semi-trucks with trailers, tanker trucks, flatbeds, and combination vehicles. It is the most comprehensive CDL class and opens the widest range of commercial driving opportunities.
