Apartment and commercial property maintenance is steady, in-demand work, and the Certified Apartment Maintenance Technician (CAMT) credential is the industry standard that proves you can do it.
CCC offers CAMT training in partnership with the National Apartment Association and Arizona@Work, giving you a recognized, nationally validated credential along with EPA 608 and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) 10 certifications, all in a single program.
This training is built for you if you are already working in maintenance and want to advance, or you are looking for a new career direction.
The CAMT program is a single comprehensive course that prepares you for the full range of maintenance responsibilities in apartment, hotel, motel, and other commercial property settings. Upon completion you will earn three credentials: the CAMT certificate issued by the National Apartment Association, EPA 608 certification for refrigerant handling, and an OSHA 10 Construction Card for workplace safety.
The program is offered in a hybrid format with weekly Zoom sessions and in-person training every weekend. This schedule is designed to accommodate students who are currently working while completing the program.

CAMT training is offered through CCC’s Workforce and Professional Development program. It does not carry academic credit and cannot be applied toward a CCC degree or certificate. CAMT training does not require a CCC application. Information sessions are offered before each cohort to help prospective students learn more about the program before committing. Contact the program coordinator for current information session dates and to get started.

No. The program is designed for students at all experience levels, including those who are new to maintenance work and those who are already working in a maintenance role and want to advance.
EPA Section 608 certification is required for technicians who service, repair, maintain, or dispose of certain air-conditioning and refrigeration equipment that contains refrigerants. To become certified, you must pass an EPA-approved exam.
OSHA 10 provides basic workplace safety training for entry-level workers. The 10-hour course covers common job-site hazards, worker rights, and ways to prevent injuries.
The Certificate for Apartment Maintenance Technicians is issued by the National Apartment Association and is a nationally recognized industry credential. It validates your technical skills and professional knowledge to employers in residential and commercial property management.
