CCC offers two credentials in this area depending on whether your next step is the workforce or a four-year university.
Associate of Business (ABUS) — Transfer Degree
Designed for students planning to transfer to a four-year university in business administration, management, marketing, finance, or a related field. Includes the Arizona General Education Curriculum for Business (AGEC-B), which transfers as a block to NAU, ASU, the University of Arizona, and Grand Canyon University.
AGEC Certificate
A standalone transfer credential that satisfies the lower-division general education requirements for business majors at Arizona public universities. A good option if you are focused on transfer but not yet ready to complete a full degree.

Courses cover the core areas of business management, from leading people and understanding markets to managing finances and navigating legal and ethical responsibilities.
Students planning to transfer to a four-year university in business, management, marketing, finance, or a related field should pursue the Associate of Business (ABUS), which includes the AGEC-B. Several BUS courses transfer directly with course equivalency to Arizona’s public universities.
Completing the AGEC-B with a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher guarantees admission to any Arizona public university, though it does not guarantee admission to a specific program within that university.
The Business AAS is a workforce degree designed for students entering employment directly after graduation. The ABUS is a transfer degree designed for students continuing to a four-year university. They have different course requirements and different goals. An advisor can help you choose the right one before you register.
Many students balance business coursework with employment. Advisors can help you build a schedule that fits your situation, and some courses are available online.
